Padma awards: UK PM's wife's seat changed for this reason

Wife of UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak attended the Padma award ceremony in Delhi on 5 April 2023.

Akshata Murthy was present when her mother Sudha Murthy was conferred with the Padma Bhushan by President Droupadi Murmu.

Akshata was initially seated with her family, but later moved to the front row, as per protocol, according to reports.

She was later seen sitting next to India's external affairs minister S. Jaishankar. Akshata was not accompanied by UK security, as per reports.
