Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has once again strongly condemned the alleged attempt by the Centre to impose the Hindi language across the country.

In a tweet on Saturday, Stalin criticised Home Minister Amit Shah's remarks that there was a need to gradually promote acceptance for the Hindi language without any kind of opposition even if the process was slow.

'It's a blatant attempt to subjugate non-Hindi speakers. Tamil Nadu rejects any form of Hindi hegemony and imposition. Our language and heritage define us, we won't be enslaved by Hindi', Stalin said in a tweet.

Shah reportedly made the remarks while chairing the 38th meeting of the Committee of Parliament on Official Language on Friday
