Operation Dost: watch how India is winning hearts in quake-hit Turkey

A heart warming picture of a Turkish citizen hugging and kissing a female Indian Army officer during a rescue and relief operations in the earthquake-hit nation is being widely appreciated on social media.

The picture was tweeted by the Indian Army on February 9 and has received over 1.1 million views in 24 hours. 

To help Turkey with the rescue mission and medical aid, India had launched Operation Dost, a Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief mission with NDRF and Army teams reaching Turkey within hours of the disaster.

The Indian Army’s 60 Para Field Hospital has treated as many as 106 earthquake-affected victims in Turkey’s Iskenderun, Hatay till Friday afternoon as part of Operation Dost, The Indian Express reported quoting government officials.
