On camera: students throw stones at govt officer's car over lack of facilities at Bihar school

The students of a government girls' high school in Bihar's Vaishali vandalised a car while protesting against alleging poor seating arrangement and lack of facilities. 

A video of the incident has gone viral on social media, which showed girls pelting stones at an SUV.

As per the reports, the students blocked the National Highway 122 B in protest. The police reached the site to control the situation. 

The police were accused of slapping the students after which they starting pelting stones at SUV of the education officer. However, the police said that they requested students to settle the matter, but they turned violent.

"There are more student admissions than the capacity of school classrooms here. The students who did not find a place to sit inside started protesting and blocked a road. We are trying to run the school in two shifts. A probe is on," said Neeraj Kumar, SDO, Mahnar, Vaishali.

The school administration said that the students were influenced by external elements.
