Odisha Vigilance Raids Government Engineer's Properties

Bhubaneswar, Aug 18 (PTI) Sleuths from the Odisha Vigilance Department initiated a search operation on Monday, targeting the properties of a government engineer alleged to have assets disproportionate to his known sources of income, according to an official. The officer stated that the raids are being conducted at the office and properties of the superintending engineer (SE) of the Angul irrigation division, covering eight locations. These locations include Bhubaneswar, Rourkela, Sundargarh, Angul, and Purusottampur in Ganjam district, the officer added. He noted that the raids are being executed by vigilance teams comprising three deputy superintendents of police, 10 inspectors, four assistant sub-inspectors, and other supporting personnel. The operation commenced following the issuance of search warrants by the Special Judge, Vigilance, in Sundargarh.
