Bhubaneswar, Sep 2 (PTI) Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi attended the SEMICON India 2025 conclave in Delhi on Tuesday, as per officials.
The conclave was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Majhi embarked on a five-day visit to the national capital on September 1. Apart from participating in the conclave, he is scheduled to attend the GST council meeting and hold discussions with some Union ministers.
The Chief Minister's presence at the conclave is notable, especially since the Centre recently approved the establishment of two semiconductor manufacturing units in Odisha.
Additionally, Majhi, who also oversees the Finance Department, will be involved in the two-day GST council meeting starting from September 3.
This meeting, chaired by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, will focus on deliberating the central government's proposal to reduce Goods and Services Tax (GST) slabs.
Majhi previously attended the last GST council meeting held in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, in December of the previous year.
Further on his itinerary, the Chief Minister is set to inaugurate an Omfed café and a Koraput coffee café at Odisha Bhavan on September 4. He is scheduled to return to Odisha on September 5.
