Noida, Sep 5 (PTI) — Police have arrested a 22-year-old delivery man in Noida for allegedly forcing a woman to disrobe by threatening her child's life with a knife, recording obscene videos of her, and distributing them on social media.

The accused, identified as Gaurav from Gulistanpur village, was a delivery person for milk and groceries at the woman's residence.

According to authorities, Gaurav allegedly broke into the woman's house while her children were asleep, held a knife to her son’s neck, and coerced her into removing her clothes while he recorded the act on his mobile phone.

The complainant stated in her FIR at the Surajpur police station on September 2 that Gaurav used these videos to repeatedly blackmail her, threatening to kidnap her daughter and share the recordings with her husband, who works in Ahmedabad.

Eventually, the accused allegedly circulated the videos to her husband and made them publicly available. Gaurav was apprehended in the Surajpur area on Wednesday, and the police recovered a mobile phone from him.

He faces charges under Section 76 (assault or use of criminal force to a woman with intent to disrobe) and Section 351 (criminal intimidation) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), along with Section 67 of the Information Technology (IT) Act, related to the publication or transmission of obscene material in electronic form.
