Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is facing backlash on social media after his remarks in the Bihar assembly went viral. On November 7, while talking about the role of women in population control he used gestured language and didn’t go down well with many.
As the video of his remarks went viral, several internet users reacted to it and said that the CM has no shame. While some responded by saying that this should be incorporated into the education system.
However, the National Commission of Women even criticised Nitish Kumar for his recent remarks and said that the Bihar CM should apologise to women.
The NCW in their statement said, “Such remarks are not only regressive but also egregiously insensitive to women's rights and choices. Bihar's chief minister should issue an apology to women across the country for these deeply offensive remarks.”
