US ex-President Barack Obama's comment during an interview with CNN last week on the treatment meted out Muslim minority and Hindu majority in India has drawn flak from Indian politicians.

After Assam CM's recent 'Many Hussain, Obama' jibe, Union minister Nirmala Sitharaman has lashed out at the former President questioning his comments and saying that the US under his rule had "bombed six Muslim-majority nations", NDTV reported.

The Union minister's comments came while she was addressing a press briefing about PM Modi's recently concluded state visit to the United States of America.

Speaking at the conference, the minister defended Prime Minister Narendra Modi's answer on the subject of Muslims in India during a presser in the US.

Sitharaman also hit out at the Opposition for raising 'non-issues, without data'.
