After the arrest of some family members and friends of Sahil Gehlot, investigators say that Nikki Yadav’s murder was planned and the conspiracy was hatched so that he could marry the other woman.
Delhi Police officials told The Hindustan Times that family members of Sahil decided in the first week of February that the 24-year-old woman must be killed.
The investigators said one of Sahil's cousins who is a Delhi Police constable played an active role in the conspiracy.
An official told the newspaper that at least four members met Sahil on February 10 while he was taking Nikki’s body to stow away in a closed family restaurant.
