Indian citizen Nikhil Gupta, named in the U.S. indictment for allegedly plotting to kill Khalistani separatist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun was arrested by Czech authorities from Prague airport on June 30, The Indian Express said.

He was later transferred from a high security prison facility in Prague to US jurisdiction in mid-November, days before the indictment was filed in a New York court, the Indian Express report added.

India has formed an inquiry committee to investigate the charges mentioned in an indictment filed in a New York court accusing Gupta and an Indian official of orchestrating a foiled murder plot to kill a US citizen.
