Thiruvananthapuram, June 30: The Kerala government has named senior IPS officer Ravada A Chandrasekhar as the new police chief of the state, announced the Chief Minister's Office on Monday. A special cabinet meeting, led by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, finalized Chandrasekhar's appointment to the top post, taking over from Sheikh Darvesh Saheb, who retires today.
