NEET UG counselling deferred till further notice

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) all-India quota seat (AIQ), which was scheduled to start on July 6, has been deferred till further notice. This comes after the Supreme Court’s refusal to delay the NEET UG counselling scheduled to be held on July 6. Students who have qualified for the medial entrance test will have to register and pay the fees against the NEET UG counselling, which will take place in multiple rounds.  
 
The SC, headed by CJI DY Chndrachud, will hear various NEET UG 2024 pleas on July 8. These please consists of petitions against alleged paper leak, demand for cancellation of the full exam and reconduction, demand for investigation into operation of the National Testing Agency (NTA).
