NCP MLA Prakash Solanke's residence in Maharashtra's Beed was set ablaze by Maratha reservation protesters on Monday.

Visuals of the attack showed massive fire and thick, black clouds of smoke billowing from the property.

Solanke said he was at home when the attack happened.

"I was inside my home when it was attacked. Fortunately, none of my family members or staff were injured. We are all safe but there is a huge loss of property due to fire,' he said.
