Karnataka CM Invites Defence Minister to Mysuru Dasara Air Show

Bengaluru, Aug 21 (PTI) - Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has expressed gratitude to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh for approving an air show by the Indian Air Force in Mysuru, coinciding with this year's Dasara celebrations. The Chief Minister has extended a personal invitation to the Defence Minister to attend the event.

In his letter to Singh, Siddaramaiah emphasized that the air show would enhance the splendor of the festivities while fostering a sense of pride among the anticipated large gatherings in Mysuru. He noted that the Defence Minister's participation would inspire the people of Karnataka and deepen their appreciation for the Armed Forces.

The Chief Minister's office shared the letter with the media on Thursday, wherein Siddaramaiah officially welcomed the Defence Minister to the Dasara celebrations in Mysuru.

"It would be a great honour if you could personally grace the Occasion. Your august presence will be a source of immense encouragement to the citizens of Karnataka and will further strengthen the bond of respect and admiration that we hold for our Armed Forces," Siddaramaiah stated.

Mysuru Dasara 2025, or 'Naada Habba', the state festival of Karnataka, is scheduled to be celebrated from September 22 to October 2 this year.

The festival promises to feature an array of attractions, including the majestic Gajapayana or elephant march, vibrant palace illuminations, a host of cultural programmes, and the traditional Vijayadashami procession known as Jamboo Savari.
