As Kamal Nath, who is the Congress leader in charge of poll-bound Madhya Pradesh, targetted the BJP after a video of a man urinating on a tribal went viral and sent shock waves on the internet, the Shivraj Singh Chauhan government has distanced itself from the incident.

While the incident reportedly took place three months ago, the accused, Pravesh Shukla, was booked under the stringent National Security Act and relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code and the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Prevention of Atrocities Act.

But Congress leaders shared the footage and a picture of Shukla with BJP leaders. However, the Chief Minister told a press conference that the culprit doesn't belong to any caste or party.
