Morbi bridge collapse: arrest warrant issued against owner of company that operated British-era bridge

The Gujarat Police on Sunday issued an arrest warrant against Jaysukh Patel, the promoter of Ajanta Oreva Group, the firm responsible for renovation, operation, and maintenance of the Morbi bridge on the Machchhu river, that collapsed on October 30.

A lookout notice has also been issued against Patel, India Today reported.

More than 140 people were killed in the horrific accident after the suspension bridge collapsed last year.
