As the controversy over cash for query deepens, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey put a fresh allegation against the Trinamool congress leader Mahua Moitra accusing her of calling him a 'Pit Bull" in a recent interview she gave to India Today.
Dubey said that Moitra's statement was in violation of law and demanded action against her.
During the interview, Moitra lashed out at Dubey for alleging that she took cash questions asked in the Lok Sabha. Moitra said they need to prove where the cash is that they allege her of taking.
Following the comment, Nishikant posted on X and said she has violated the law and he had written to the government, demanding action against Moitra. He said Moitra insulted entire Jharkhand and Bihar by calling him a Pitbull, a dog.
Pertinently, Dubey on Thursday appeared before the Lok Sabha's Ethics Panel to record 'oral evidence' on the case.
Moitra had requested for the postponement of her physical appearance before the panel which gave her 3 days extension and asked her to appear on November 2, instead of October 30. The committee stressed no further extension would be given.
