Reels are fun but often the land people in trouble too. In one such instance, 38 medical students from Gadag Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS) in Karnataka have been penalised for recording reels on the hospital premises.

For violating the rules, the hospital management extended their housemanship training period by 10 days on Saturday, February 10.

Director of Gadag Institute of Medical Science, Dr. Basavaraj Bommanhalli called this incident a grave mistake and said, "There are 38 of them who did this (Instagram reels) within the premises and violated the rules. This is a grave mistake. Whatever they wanted to do, they should have done it outside the hospital premises, avoiding inconvenience to the patients."

Dr. Basavaraj Bommanhalli also stated, "We haven't granted any permission for such activities. They claimed it was recorded for the pre-graduation ceremony. We have taken cognisance of this. Their housemanship was supposed to end in the next 10–20 days, and we have extended that for another 10 days."
