In a significant operation, Mathura police have uncovered alleged sex rackets operating from two local guesthouses, resulting in the rescue of several women and the arrest of one racketeer along with a customer.
The operations were carried out on Thursday evening in the areas under the jurisdiction of the Kotwali and Highway police stations.
Circle Officer Ashna Chaudhary stated that these raids are part of a broader crackdown, aiming to dismantle establishments engaged in illegal and immoral activities, driven by the motive of quick financial gain.
During the first raid conducted at a guesthouse located on Sonkh Road, under the Kotwali police station, five women and a customer were reportedly discovered in compromising situations. Law enforcement apprehended the guesthouse operator, Deepak Khandelwal.
In a separate raid in the Highway police station area, six additional women were rescued. However, the guesthouse owner and a customer managed to flee amidst the chaos.
A significant amount of objectionable material was confiscated from both sites, and relevant cases have been filed as investigations continue.
