The accused, a daily wage worker, confessed to abducting the child due to his desire for a child of his own.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (GRP) Najmul Hasan Rizvi detailed the incident, which was brought to their attention on the night of August 22, sparking an immediate and robust response. The GRP teams launched an exhaustive search operation, scrutinizing CCTV footage and leveraging their informer networks to track the suspect's movements.
Following thorough investigations, the GRP team apprehended the suspect near Kheria Bridge, close to Agra Cantt station, ensuring the child's safe recovery within 41 hours of the kidnapping incident, as confirmed by Rizvi. The child, who had been left unattended and asleep on a platform at the time of the abduction, was joyfully reunited with her mother.

The accused, identified as Satish (27) from Dholpur's Mania area, acknowledged his motive driven by having no children of his own.
