Mastermind behind fake college admission letter scam arrested in Canada

Canandian authorities have arrested an Indian immigration agent for his alleged involvement in the fake college admission letters scandal.

According to media reports, Brijesh Mishra was arrested on 23 June when he was trying to illegally enter Canada.

Mishra ran an immigration agency in Jalandhar and went missing shortly after the scandal broke in March 2023

Over 700 Indian students have reportedly received deportation letters from the Canadian Border Security Agency (CBSA) after their admission offer letters were found to be fake.
