A massive fire broke out at an eatery in Uttar Pradesh's greater Noida area on March 13.

Police reported that a short circuit at Shere Punjab Dhaba in the Char Murti Chowk in Greater Noida's Bisrakh sparked the fire early in the morning that ended up spreading to adjacent eateries.

Eight fire engines were rushed to the spot that brought the fire under control, police added. No casualties have been reported so far.

A video of the incident showed black smoke rising from the flames leaving people in the surrounding areas in panic.

"We received information about fire in a few dhabas. Fire service vehicles left for the spot. We found six dhabas and two shops on fire. Ten fire tenders are here. We have brought the fire under control, cooling operation is underway. There are no casualties or injuries in the incident," a Fire Department official told NDTV.
