Maoists and CRPF Jawan Killed in Bokaro Gunfight

Bokaro, July 16 (PTI): In a fierce gunfight that erupted in Jharkhand’s Bokaro district, two Maoists and a CRPF jawan were killed on Wednesday morning, according to the police.

The confrontation occurred between the security forces and the Maoists in the Birhordera forest within the Gomia police station area around 5:30 am.

"During the encounter, security forces eliminated two Maoists. Unfortunately, a jawan from the CRPF's CoBRA battalion also lost his life in the exchange of fire," stated IG (Bokaro Zone) Kranthi Kumar Gadidesi, speaking to PTI.
