Patna, Jul 7 (PTI) - Manish Kashyap, a well-known Bihar-based social media influencer, has decided to embark on a new political journey by joining Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj party after resigning from the BJP. On Monday, accompanied by a group of supporters, Kashyap made his entry into the new party in the presence of Prashant Kishor. Kashyap, whose YouTube channel boasts nearly ten million subscribers, first gained significant attention when he was arrested by the Tamil Nadu Police a few years ago for allegedly posting fake videos related to the mistreatment of Bihari migrants in the southern state. He had become a member of the BJP prior to the last Lok Sabha elections; however, he did not receive a ticket to contest. In June, he publicly announced his resignation from the party through a video message, accusing the BJP of having "used" him for the Delhi assembly elections and subsequently abandoning him.
