Security forces recovered a cache of arms and ammunition during a search operation in Manipur's Thoubal district, police reported on Wednesday. The seized items included a pistol, mortar, hand grenade, and live rounds of ammunition.
The recovery took place on Tuesday in Irong Tangkhul village, near Hangoilok. In a separate operation, Manipur Police arrested a 26-year-old active member of the banned outfit PREPAK (Pro) from Bishnupur district. The suspect was apprehended from the Sunusiphai area on Tuesday.
