TMC MP Mahua Moitra has called for action against BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri for reportedly hurling abuses at BSP's Danish Ali during a discussion on India's Chandrayaan-3 success in Lok Sabha.
Bidhuri targeted the BSP MP's Muslim identity during his speech in the Lok Sabha.
Congress leader Kodikunnal Suresh was in the Speaker's chair during the incident and asked for Bidhuri's comments to be expunged.
Mahua Mitra tagged Speaker Om Birla, PM Narendra Modi and BJP president JP Nadda in her tweets asking for action against Bidhuri.
'Keeper of Maryada @ombirlakota Vishwaguru @narendramodi & BJP Prez @JPNadda along with GodiMedia- any action please?' she tweeted.
She also challenged Speaker Om Birla to initiate a privilege motion against her for her comments.
'Maryadapurush @ombirlakota - feel free to initiate a privilege motion against me for calling you out. Will be happy to face any committees. But am asking you here and now- what action are you taking against @rameshbidhuri?' Moitra said in her tweet.
'Abusing Muslims, OBCs an integral part of BJP culture - most now see nothing wrong with it. @narendramodi has reduced Indian Muslims to living in such a state of fear in their own land that they grin & bear everything. Sorry, but I’m calling this out. Ma Kali holds my spine,' she further tweeted.
