Deputy CM Eknath Shinde reaffirmed the Maharashtra government’s commitment to women’s welfare, ensuring the continuation of the Ladki Bahin scheme while also promising the completion of long-pending housing projects.

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has assured that the Ladki Bahin scheme, which provides ₹1,500 monthly assistance to women, will continue without interruption under the Mahayuti government. The scheme played a key role in the BJP-led coalition’s victory in the November 2024 state assembly polls.

  • Addressing an event in Thane, Shinde declared that his government would never allow the scheme to be discontinued.
  • He reiterated the Mahayuti government’s commitment to social welfare and promised timely completion of stalled housing projects across Mumbai, Thane, Pune, and Maharashtra.
  • Shinde highlighted the Cluster Development Scheme, stating it would rectify shortcomings in the Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA) scheme, ensuring all affected families receive benefits.

The Housing and Urban Development Minister also took a swipe at political opponents, asserting that his government delivers results instead of making empty promises.
