Coordination Between Environment & Development Must: CM Mohan Yadav

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Mohan Yadav stated that under passes are being constructed beneath the bridges so that wild animals including tigers could pass through them.

All this is being done by keeping wildlife conservation in mind while doing the road construction. This technique is an exemplary example of coordination between nature and development.

He was addressing the one day convention “ Coordination with Nature in Direction to realize Public Welfare from Public Construction,” at Rabindra Bhawan on Tuesday.

He added that such kind of construction should be done which brings pride and will be useful to the next generation. By remaining in the limit of rules, engineers have to search solution through creative thinking. The projects should be best at the parameters of quality, cost and environment.

PWD Minister Rakesh Singh told that development is proves its significance when environment conservation is ensured along with structural progress. The 2000 years old Anicut dam of Trichi is still functioning and it is best example of Indian traditions.

He informed that in this direction, PWD is constructing Lok Kalyan Sarovar at that place from where mud was retrieved. On every kilometer, ground water recharge bore is being created. A pledge has been taken to do rain water conservation in every departmental building.

Environmentalist Gopal Arya said that development would prove its relevance only when it strikes balance with environment. If any country has to become developed from developing then its infrastructure should be strong and environment friendly.

He laid importance on plantation drive. Bhaskaracharya institution’s Director General TP Singh highlighted the importance of PM Gatishakti project.
