Dhar (MP), June 25 (PTI): An incident has come to light from Singhana village in Dhar district, Madhya Pradesh, where a woman teacher reportedly arrived at the school under the influence of alcohol, creating a disturbance among the staff and laborers. As a result, she has been suspended, and authorities have initiated an inquiry into the matter, as confirmed by officials on Wednesday.
A video capturing the teacher's unruly behavior at the government primary school on Monday has swiftly gone viral on social media platforms.
Narottam Varkade, Assistant Commissioner of the tribal education department, stated that the teacher has been suspended, and a departmental investigation will be conducted to determine further actions.
The school, located about 50 km from the district headquarters in Manawar development block, witnessed the incident on June 23. The teacher allegedly misbehaved with both the laborers on site and the school staff.
Upon the video's circulation, senior district administration officials instructed Manawar Block Resource Coordinator (BRC) Kishore Kumar to look into the matter.
"We took cognizance of the situation and formed a joint team consisting of the block education officer and the BRC to probe the incident," Varkade noted.
Following the investigation report, the teacher was promptly suspended. A comprehensive departmental inquiry is to follow to decide any further disciplinary measures," he added.
