The India Coast Guard on July 24 evacuated a critically ill Indian mariner from MT Global Star around 110 Miles NW of Kerala’s Kochi.

As per ANI, the 37-year-old patient suffered a stroke with partial paralysis & required urgent evacuation. 

Following this, a rescue operation by the Maritime Rescue Coordination Center (MRCC) in Mumbai was initiated. 

The operation was undertaken mid-sea in extreme weather conditions.
