Want to walk on sea? First floating bridge in Karnataka inaugurated at Udupi's Malpe beach

Karnataka got its first floating bridge at the Malpe beach in Udupi on May 6. Floating bridges allow visitors to feel the movement of sea waves underneath their feet.

The bridge was inaugurated by MLA K. Raghupati Bhat. The objective behind the floating bridge is to attract tourists to Udupi.

The bridge is 100 m long and cost Rs 80 lakhs. It was built by 3 local entrepreneurs.

Visitors will have to pay Rs 100 each to walk on the bridge for 15 minutes. For safety, visitors will have to wear a life jacket, while 10 life guards and 30 life buoy rings will be present.
