26 people have been booked for offering namaz together inside a house in Uttar Pradesh's Moradabad district 'without taking permission' from the authorities.
The police said that the FIR was filed after a complaint by some of the neighbours. According to the police, the group offering prayers had been cautioned against doing so inside the house in the past.
News reports stated that the 26 people had been charged with making 'statement conducing to public mischief in an assembly engaged in the performance of religious worship'
