NCERT has issued a clarification on its reported proposal to change India to Bharat in all textbooks, saying it is too premature to comment since the development of new syllabus and textbooks is in process.

The educational body also added various Curricular Area Groups of domain experts that are being notified by it.

NCERT's clarification came soon after multiple reports said that seven members of its panel voted unanimously for the recommendation.
