Uttar Pradesh police recently arrested a cleric in Ghaziabad as part of an alleged conspiracy for religious conversion of children using online games.

Police said that the game required users to recite verses from the Quran to win. Teenagers playing the game were also shown videos of radical preachers like Zakir Naik and Tariq Jameel, police said.

In the case of alleged conversion of 2 Hindu boys and a Jain boy, a cleric was arrested on June 4, 2023.

Cops are hunting for another accused who hails from Maharashtra.
