On cam: woman abducted, forcibly married in Rajasthan, claims DCW chief

The chief of the Delhi Commission for Women tweeted a video on June 6, 2023, suggesting that it showed an abducted woman being married forcibly.

Swati Maliwal said that the video is from Jaisalmer in Rajasthan, as per media reports.

The DCW head cited news reports to claim that the woman was publicly abducted, and forcibly wedded by lighting a fire at a barren piece of land.

She called it a scary incident, and asked Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot to order a probe.
