JD(U) district vice president shot outside his house in Gaya: police

Sunil Singh, the Gaya district vice president of Janata Dal (United) was shot dead late on Friday night by unidentified assailants outside his house.

The police were quoted as saying that Singh was murdered over a suspected old rivalry, as per a report by Hindustan Times.

Singh was returning from a birthday function and was hit at least 5 times on his back outside his house as per police.

The police are camping at the spot to monitor the situation.
