Days after a student was found dead at the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, conclusions of the autopsy report were released by the institute.
The death was natural, and the cause was chronic coronary insufficiency, as per the IIT media statement.
The student was found dead on his bed in his hostel room on 9 January 2023. This was the second death in a month at IIT-Guwahati, as a faculty member was found hanging at the campus on 10 December 2022.

The institute said that it was cooperating with police.
