Heat wave: schools closed in Jharkhand, Patna

Schools closed: With a heat wave searing many parts of north India, schools have been shut in several places.

Jharkhand government ordered the closure of all schools from June 12 to June 14, 2023, due to "excessive heat".

The district magistrate of Patna said that till June 18, academic activities should not be held at private and government schools up to Class 12.

The DM said that the health and life of children were at risk due to "high temperatures".
