A fresh controversy has hit the Tihar jail in Delhi. A notice has been issued to the superintendent of Tihar jail number 7 by the prison administration, as per reports.

The notice pertains to shifting of 3 inmates to the cell of former Delhi minister Satyendar Jain.

The Aam Aadmi Party leader had requested on May 11, 2023 that he is feeling depressed and a psychiatrist has recommended more social interaction, and so he should be lodged with at least 2 other persons.

Jail authorities said that proper procedure needs to be followed before such actions, and it is also a security issue, as per an Indian Express report.
