Fight inside university in UP's Greater Noida; guards, students detained

A violent fight broke out at a university in Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh on June 4, 2023.

More than 30 private security guards and students were taken into police custody after the clash, news agency PTI reported.

The fight was triggered by security guards objecting to smoking by students inside the campus, police said.

The incident took place at around 10:30 pm at the Munshi Premchand Hostel at the state-run Gautam Buddha University.
