Delhi to get relief from heat as temperature expected drop in coming days: IMD

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a yellow alert as a heatwave is expected in Delhi, Agra & Meerut and Haryana today. However, the weather department also said that from 17th April, the temperature in Delhi is expected to drop due to Western disturbances. 

Speaking with news agency ANI, IMD official Soma Sen Roy said, "There is a chance of a fresh spell of thunderstorms and rain on the 18th & 19th April in areas in the northwest plains including Delhi.

Besides, thunderstorms are expected over Central India - MP, Chhattisgarh, Vidharba & north Karnataka on Saturday.
