A couple in Delhi was beaten up for allegedly torturing a 10-year-old girl whom they had employed as a domestic help.
A crowd was seen confronting the woman, who is a pilot, and her husband, an airline staffer.
The mob pulled them out of the house and thrashed them, even as the couple denied the allegations, and later began apologising.
The incident took place in Dwarka area, and was sparked by a relative of the 10-year-old girl seeing injury marks on her arms.
Police later said that they had detained the couple, and the girl has been medically examined.
