A special CBI court in Mumbai on January 12, 2023 directed the Airport Authority of India to secure the CCTV footage of Guwahati airport and find out the identity of the girl who allegedly looked like Sheena Bora.
According to a report by India Today, the court asked the AAI to hand over footage of January 5, 2023 between 5.30-6.00 am near the boarding gate of Guwahati airport.
This after prime accused Indrani Mukerjea filed an application before the CBI court along with an affidavit by advocate Savina Bedi Sachar.
Sachar in the affidavit had stated that she travelled from Guwahati on January 5, 2023 and near the boarding gate, she had seen a woman who looked like Sheena.
While the CBI has opposed Indrani Mukherjea's latest move, the court reasoned that an "opportunity in this regard needed to be given" to the prime accused Indrani Mukerjea who has claimed on multiple occasions that her daughter, Sheena Bora is alive.
