Death threat issued to 6 Karnataka HC judges, PRO; case filed

Six Karnataka High Court judges and the public relation officer of the court have allegedly received death threats, as per the Indian Express.

The accused sent a message threatening to kill the judges and the officer on the latter’s WhatsApp number on July 12 through a ‘Dubai Gang’.

Following this, an FIR in the matter was registered on July 14 by the Central CEN Crime Police against unknown persons.

In the threatening message, the accused demanded to deposit Rs 50 lakh in Pakistan-based ABL Allied Bank Limited. A bank account number was also shared to which the money had to be deposited.

A probe into the matter has been launched. More details awaited.
