The car of a woman who had come to pay obeisance near Khadak Mangoli in Panchkula got washed away in the river.
According to the information, the woman had come to bow her head with her mother. When the car was parked on the bank of the river, then the flow of water increased due to which the car got washed away in the river.
The woman in the vehicle has been admitted to Sector 6 Hospital in Panchkula.
On receiving information about the incident, the local police reached the spot. Efforts are being made to get the car out of the river with the help of a crane.
The video of the rescue seemingly shot by another local show men standing in a queue, holding onto a rope and facing the horrific current of waters while trying to help the driver who got trapped inside the vehicle get out.
The accident happened due to the river water being in spate due to rain.
