A major tragedy was averted in Indore, Madhya Pradesh when a bus caught fire at a petrol pump. The bravery and quick thinking of the bus driver and conductor prevented a big mishap.
On April 23, 2023, the bus went up in a blaze while its fuel tank was being refilled.
The driver's clothes caught on fire and he ran away from the spot to prevent the fire from spreading. The conductor drove the bus 200 metres away despite suffering burn injuries.
All 25 passengers on the bus escaped safely.
