Love knows no boundaries! A minor girl in Sualkuchi district of Assam took this adage to the next level. In order to prove her love, the 15-year-old injected herself with the blood of her HIV-positive partner whom she met on Facebook.

The incident has left the internet amused with Twitterati having a field day.

Reacting to a post where a link to the news was shared, a Twitter user wrote, “Darwin’s theory of survival of the fittest has been successfully refuted.”

Another person evoked the popular Mughal-e-Azam dialogue, “Pyaar kiya to darna kya… HIV se darna kya.”

Meanwhile, the boy was arrested by the local police after the parents of the minor girl filed a complaint against him.

The girl is under medical observation.
