In an inspiring feat of bravery, a 13-year-old girl reportedly jumped into a 40-foot well to save a toddler.
The incident took place in Chatra, Jharkhand on the night of May 7, 2023, when 3-year-old Shivam fell into the well while playing near it. 13-year-old Kajal saw this and jumped into the well.
She caught the toddler with one hand and held onto the pipe of a motor pump with the other to stay afloat.
They were rescued around half an hour later, and a badly-injured Kajal was taken to hospital.
