There were frenetic scenes outside a hotel in Hyderabad after a large crowd gathered for free haleem on the first day of Ramadan.

The Azebo Hotel in Malakpet, inaugurated on the same day, had announced free haleem on March 12 following which a large number of people gathered in the area.

When the crowd became unmanageable, the hotel management called the police who used sticks to disperse the people who had gathered at the spot.

A video shared by ANI on X showed the crowd outside the hotel and the police using batons to disperse it.
